Stinkin' Records (E-commerce)

This small, independent music publisher recognized a need to assert its credibility and to sell its CD's on the internet. Jelve Design worked closely with Stinkin' Records president, Stephen Hogg, to launch this site rapidly and economically.

In order to minmize outlay and risks, we utilized the low-cost services of PayPal on this project. The site includes an integrated Content Management System with which the site owner can add CD's to the catalogue and edit the artists' profile pages. Fewings Cartoons (Artist's portfolio)

Canadian political cartoonist and caricature artist John Fewings chose Jelve Design to develop his home on the web. Since new cartoons are added 5 or 6 times a week, an easily updated site was essential. The site includes hundreds of archived cartoons.

We also assisted in setting up a method for emailing John's daily editorial cartoon to a subscribed list of over 100 newspapers. Homefront Realty (Real Estate Brokerage)

This busy Brantford, Ontario real estate agency selected Jelve Design to develop its full-service showcase of homes and commercial property for sale. The company employs more than 40 agents, each of whom has their own customizable personal page on the site. All listings are added by the Realtors using our web-based listing management system.

In August 2003, Jelve Design set out to develop a new portal and resource site dedicated to Canadian blogs. Blogs, or weblogs, are easily updated online journals. Blogs can range from diaries of teenage angst to political commentary by prominent media columnists. Blogs continue to thrive and were instrumental in paving the way for popular social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

Jelve's BlogsCanada became Canada's most popular blog directory and resource site. In 2009, Jelve sold BlogsCanada to Janssen Marketing Inc.

The Recovery Room (Online Brochure)

The company finds the website very useful in fielding queries and reducing time spent on the phone and traveling to quote on prospective business. A comprehensive FAQ section answers many would-be telephone questions. A dynamic slide presentation is used to show examples of previous projects. Pricing information is provided.

Advocacy groups, charities and non-profit organizations benfit greatly by publicizing their events and issues online. Jelve design has created a funding model whereby advertisements not only finance the production and hosting costs for such organizations' sites, they also provide a source of revenue to fund other worthwhile programs.

The OTHA site runs on the DotNetNuke Content Management System. Editing can be performed in a password-protected area of the site by group members with little or no web experience.

Corner Motor Sales (E-commerce, B2B)

Corner Motor sales Ltd. is the exclusive Eastern Canadian distributor for FW Murphy Instruments ( Oklahoma). To deliver exceptional functionality at an extremely low cost, Jelve Design integrated FW Murphy's extensive database of guages, controls and valves into the Corner Motor Sales site.

The site is in the e-commerce category but like many business-to-business (B2B) transactions are not made online but done either by phone or through conventional monthly invoicing. NoNuke.net (Political advocacy)

This anti-nuclear advocacy site was launched to fight a proposed nuclear power plant om teh shores of Lake Erie. The proposal for the plant was withdrawn in 2009 but the site lives on to advocate against nuclear energy and nuclear weapons proliferation.

The site includes an integrated blog and several RSS news feeds to keep current content up to date with very little owner input.
