Do you ever wonder why some sites perform better than others by loading quickly and ranking highly on search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN?

Most amateur website designers - and even some professionals - don't recognize the importance of designing in compliance with web standards. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has developed and continues to develop common protocols (standards) that promote the evolution and interoperability of the web.

Sites that are W3C Standards Compliant can be parsed (read) by electronic machines like assistive technology devices for the disabled and the robots, spiders and crawlers used by Google and other search sites. A site that can be read by the Googlebot has a much better chance of getting on Page One of Google than an improperly coded page.

Sites (like www.jelve.com) that are standards-compliant generally load very quickly and are authorized to display W3C icons.

Third party search engine optimization (SEO) companies routinely charge hundreds of dollars to perform this service. We include SEO as an integral part of every project.
